booksbooksbooks.

After quilt club this morning, Abigail and I made a trip to the library. HELLO, NEW BOOKS. What I'm working through:

Have any of you heard of Goodreads? I just heard of it this past week, and started an account. It might be my current favorite website.

In other news, I spent the second half of my day with a good friend of Sam's family. She lives fairly close to me, and drove over to meet/get to know me. We were talking about NaNoWriMo, and I mentioned that when I updated to the new version of Scrivener I lost all work on my novel. We pulled my computer out, and she managed to find it and backed it up for me multiple times.

I FEEL LIKE WRITING AGAIN.

P.S. Script Frenzy is coming up. Who wants to join me?

  3. Hey, hey, hey! :P I just realized something rather funny here. We met through blogging, and I have never *once* commented on your blog, an I don't think you have on mine! lol What's wrong with that picture??? ;)

On another note. I *love* Goodreads, but only as a stalker~I don't have an account. I'll have to see about maybe getting one.

You have a nice day, Sis :)

  4. Memoirs of a Geisha is one of my all-time favorites, even though Arthur Golden misrepresents geisha somewhat. If you end up liking it (and I'm sure you will, it is amazing!) you'll probably really like Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki...she's one of the real geisha Golden interviewed in his research for the book, and she went on to write her own real-life account of being an extremely successful geisha in the 60's and 70's.
